Weston/Mason was proud to attend the fourth annual HomeAid Los Angeles fundraiser gala, An Evening Under the Stars, and to spend time with a new client who works toward ending homelessness — Gerald E. Thompson, Co-founder and Executive Director of Pathways To Your Future (PTYF).

Held at The CenterPointe Club in Playa Vista, the event featured live music, dancing, dinner, and a silent auction. HomeAid LA is a 501(C) (3) charity that assists local service providers in teaming with builders, vendors and suppliers who donate their labor, time and materials to build housing for homeless families and individuals.

Recent HomeAid LA projects include:

The Lighthouse at Long Beach Rescue Mission’s Lydia House facility will provide transitional housing for homeless women and children. The project includes 44 beds, a multi-purpose space, a living room, playroom and staff offices, and a courtyard and patios.

NHF’s Pico Union Recuperative Care Facility celebrated its Grand Opening in late 2018 with nearly 1,000 people in attendance. This 62-bed, 13,000-square-foot recuperative-care facility is for homeless residents discharged from nearby hospitals, and was a partnership between HomeAid LA and the National Health Foundation. The facility offers semi-private rooms, family-style dining, visiting hours for local families, and a community garden for residents and neighbors.
